Wood rail system
The installation
of a rail system is the most important feature in determining how
attractive and
functional your shoji will be.
This time-tested, quiet wood track
system captures the spirit of Japanese shoji.

Top rail
|
Using a
matching type of wood, we cut a groove into the rail boards for top and
bottom. The doors are cut with a matching tenon that allows the doors
to be put in or taken out, and they slide along the groove. |

Bottom rail
|
The bottom rail is custom cut
to match most carpetís and tileís heights, so you are not stepping over
a high clumsy rail system. We use some special nylon
tape to make doors slide very smoothly. |
